Promoting bursar training — York LEA

*

Find out how York LEA are capitalising on the NCSL bursar training courses for the benefit of their schools. Linda Brook, School Financial Support Officer at York LEA, has successfully completed the CSBM and says that it "...has helped my personal development enormously and enabled me to contribute to help improve the quality of the services we provide and to highlight the valuable role of the school business manager in raising standards in our schools". From bursar to LEA 'remodelling  coordinator'

Judith Williams

Judith Williams has been appointed by Durham LEA as their Workforce Remodelling Coordinator. Although senior advisers and head teachers are often appointed to such posts, Judith's experience and training (CSBM, DSBM and NBA Licentiate) have enabled her gain this important post where she has a pivotal role in influencing and enabling over 300 schools to implement the wide ranging remodelling agenda. She works closely with the National Remodelling Team — contributing to the FMiS strategy and delivering effective training to schools, for example on strategies to achieve 10% PPA time. She says " Remodelling has really been an opportunity for me. I have been able to take a career path I would never have dreamed of when I first began in education." Click here for more...
