Public authorities and human rights: Ministry of Justice evaluation of guidance
The Ministry of Justice produced a guidance toolkit for public authorities
dealing with human rights issues. The guidance consists of three
publications:
- Making sense of human rights: A short
introduction (an introductory booklet aimed at
staff of all levels) - Human rights, human lives: How the Human Rights Act influences the public sector (a DVD of case studies, available from the Ministry of Justice)
- Human rights, human lives: A handbook for public authorities (a handbook intended for key decision-makers.)
The Ministry of Justice is inviting members of the education sector to participate in an evaluation of the guidance. Your input is very valuable, as it will influence future versions of the toolkit. The deadline for responses is Friday 04 December 2009.
