Materials and guidance relating to the Primary Framework are available
from the 'Primary' section of the DCSF National Strategies website. The
National Strategies website provides support and guidance for the development,
planning and teaching of primary literacy and mathematics and includes
comprehensive mathematics and literacy resource libraries.

The National Curriculum and QCA schemes of work
New primary National Curriculum
The National Curriculum website now contains the new primary National Curriculum, which will be introduced in September 2011. Features include an interactive video tour of the website, and a short guide with in-depth information about the new curriculum. There are innovative and interactive tools to support curriculum design, and materials to help teachers embed the essentials for learning and life, and work with areas of learning.

Independent Review of the Primary Curriculum
In April 2009 Sir Jim Rose published the final report of his review of
the primary curriculum in England. The report and other related links,
including examples of cross-curriculum teaching, draft programmes of learning
and links to videos of headteachers talking about the review, are available on
the Independent Review website.

Schemes of work
Schemes of work, which are not statutory, can be taken as a starting point for planning. They give support and guidance for primary teachers in developing the curriculum by:
- embedding English and mathematics across the curriculum
- adapting schemes of work
- combining units from different subject schemes.
