Hints and tips: Getting the Most From DCSF TIPD
This guide distils the experience of the 200 participants who took part in the DCSF TIPD programme 2001 regional conferences and includes suggestions on how to make the best of a DCSF TIPD visit to an overseas school.

Provider details
Each of the four DCSF TIPD programme providers administers different strands of the programme. Read up on each of the providers and find out about the range of opportunities available to schools and teachers.

DCSF TIPD application forms
Teachers and coordinators need to complete a number of different application forms. Refer to the previous section, 'Provider details', to determine which forms you need to fill in, then download the forms here.

Undertaking a SWOT analysis
As part of the application process, DCSF TIPD programme applicants are invited to undertake Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis.  Download the guidance here.

LA allocations
Each local authority (LA) has an allocation of DCSF TIPD programme places for each year (2008-11).
