Top ten tips for schools

We are also issuing a pamphlet on sustainable schools called top ten tips. The pamphlet identifies ten simple measures that schools can adopt to reduce running costs. The proposed actions focus on energy and water use and will help to improve sustainability. It encourages users to benchmark their energy and water use to identify the likely scope for reducing running costs. In addition readers are signposted to independent sources of further information. The leaflet can be accessed here.

Case studies

This guide is designed to be accessible to the whole school community. But it is particularly aimed at expert professionals such as designers and local authority clients. It addresses refurbishment of existing schools as many sustainability techniques used in the design of new schools can be applied to existing schools and vice versa.
